Each year as part of our Strategic Plan and end of season evaluation the Hampton Life Saving Club (HLSC) Board of Management conducts a review of all management positions and each Director’s portfolio. As a result of this review we will move forward into the 2015-2016 season with two revised Board positions: Director, Sports and Director, Finance & Strategy . We are seeking nominations for these positions, together with nominations for the role of Secretary.
The new Director, Sports portfolio recognises the huge success of our Competition Teams over the last few years and enables us as a club to focus more on this area in the coming years. The Director, Sports will oversee the planned expansion of our Senior and Masters Competition teams, whilst continuing to focus and support our Junior competitors and IRB Racing Team. The new Director, Sports will manage the following Committee positions: IRB Racing Manager, Junior Competition Manager, Senior Competition Manager, Masters Competition Manager, Winter Competition Manager, Competition Gear Steward, Sports Water Safety Coordinator, Chief Coach.
The existing portfolio of Director, Finance has been expanded to create the new portfolio Director, Finance and Strategy. The expansion of this role enables us as a club to continue our focus on planning for our future club facility and as such a new committee position of Planning Officer has also been created. This means that the Director, Finance and Strategy will be fully across all club fundraising efforts and will also be able to work closely with the Planning Officer to make the best use of the financial resources available to continue to improve our club. The new Director, Finance and Strategy will manage the following Committee Positions: Club Accountant, Hall Hire Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator, Grants Officer, Planning Officer.
Nominations for these three director positions are open until Sunday August 2 at 4pm, being exactly one week prior to our Annual General Meeting which is scheduled for Sunday August 9 at 4pm.
